Tonoya Minshuku Tono

とおの屋 民宿とおの

Tonoya Minshuku Tono, the most historic lodgings in Tono. One of the features of this inn is being able to enjoy the irori (open hearth), the traditional Japanese way of cooking and heating in the home. The irori is created in traditional Japanese houses in a square hole in the floorboards, with a fire built on the ash base. The grilled fish, shish kebabs and regional cuisine made on the irori are memorably delicious. Tono is also called “Japan’s hometown”. Find yourself there to relax and recharge amid the beauty of nature’s four seasons.
