Michi-no-Eki (roadside rest area) Ishidoriya - Nambutoji no Sato, Hanamaki City

道の駅「石鳥谷」南部杜氏の里花巻市

Michi-no-Eki (roadside rest area) Ishidoriya – Nambu Toji no Sato has a tower decorated with a sakaboki (cedar branches tied together into the shape of a ball) that symbolizes this sake brewery, and the rest area is flanked by a green forest. Other features are the Sakashokan gift and souvenir shop (including cafeteria and exhibition about the Nambu Toji master sake brewers), The Nambu Toji Park Golf Course, and the town library, which has books about sake brewing culture. By bringing people and the community together, the local attractions are amply promoted, including culture, history, famous places and special products. The Sakashokan’s sake ice cream made with Nambuzeki special pure rice wine is an original product. It has a fresh after-taste thanks to the vanilla base, and it will not be a problem to drive after enjoying a cone.
