The Sanriku Furusato Bussan Center, a location blessed by nature along Highway 45 on the Sanriku Coast, sells not just seafood like abalone, scallops, sea urchin and wakame seaweed but farm produce and marine processed products. The richly-flavored persimmon soft-serve ice cream is a first in Japan and very popular.
