This genuine restaurant serves yakiniku, shabu shabu and steak with a focus on quality Iwate beef breeds such as Japanese Black and Japanese Shorthorn. Beef production history is tracked for customers to view, so that at a touch of a button, the monitor displays the origin, farm and feed of the beef being served that day. Ginga Rikyu aims to be a local produce restaurant offering only rice, vegetables and drinks from the region.
