Tenshochi Rest House overlooks the confluence of the Kitakami and Waga Rivers and is fashioned after the style of a rice warehouse of the era of ship transportation. We are grateful for all the diverse ingredients from around the Kitakami district since we opened and in keeping with the ancestral wisdom of shindo fuji (body and earth are not two), we pound our rice daily. Our goal is to contribute to local culture in the present and to provide a “dietary smile” that will lead people to pass it on.
