Acorns have been eaten since the Jomon period. Donguri ramen, made from flour of acorns harvested in Iwaizumi with their bitterness removed and the ingredients of Chinese noodles, are rubbery and smooth in texture. Hittsumi and tofu dengaku can also be enjoyed here.
