A place for visitors to immerse themselves in the world of dreams that are the theme of Kenji Miyazawa’s children’s stories. The village consists of facilities including Kenji no Gakko (Kenji’s School) with four major areas depicting Kenji’s world, and Kenji no Kyoshitsu (Kenji’s Classroom), built in a log cabin-style and opened in August 2001, which mounts an exhibition of Miyazawa’s tales.
