The Morioka Machiya Monogatari Museum opened on July 28, 2014, which was converted from Hamatono Sakagura (Edo period sake brewery), preserved building of Morioka City and other properties. The museum has six areas. The main building has a reception and rest area offering tourism and event information for visitors.
