Appi Kogen Ski Resort is one of the largest ski resorts in Japan, with 21 trails and a total trail length of 45.1 km for skiers of all levels. It is known for its excellent snow quality, often referred to as “aspirin snow” for its fine, light, dry texture that resembles powdered aspirin. There are 2 gondolas and 6 lifts and 3 quad lifts. Nighttime skiing can be enjoyed throughout the season. Skiing and snowboarding lessons are available, and you can also take the SAJ ( Ski Association of Japan ) ski test or the JSBA ( Japan Snowboarding Association ) snowboarding test. There are many fun facilities and activities, such as the Yuki-asobi Hiroba ( Snow Playground ) , Snowmobile Land, Snow Shoe Program, and Night Illusion.
